Responsibilities:
- Lead and perform advanced inspections of incoming parts, in-process production, and final products.
- Document and record detailed inspection results and provide thorough analysis and recommendations.
- Identify, document, and resolve complex structural flaws, internal defects, and missing welds.
- Mentor and train junior inspectors.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address quality issues and recommend improvements.
- Develop and maintain quality control procedures and standards.
- Conduct statistical analysis on inspection data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Oversee calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment.
- Review and approve inspection documentation and reports.
- Participate in quality audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- 3+ Years experience in Quality Control or related field.
- Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
- Advanced proficiency in quality control principles and inspection techniques.
- Knowledge and ability to understand and interpret technical schematics and drawings.
- Knowledge and ability to interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerance.
- Extensive experience with finished goods inspection.
- Experience with Costpoint and/or AEGIS-MES.
- Understanding of material flow in operations.
- Ability to draft work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Certified in Network+, Security+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), and/or A+.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9000 and AS 9100 standards.
- Experience in the aerospace or defense industry.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
- Standing for extended periods during inspections.
- Dexterity to handle small parts and use inspection tools.
- Ability to work in a noisy environment.
- Occasional travel may be required.
