Training and instruction on independent living skills for individuals with DD including: Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), money management, social skills, computer skills, etc.; Support and training in skills and goals as set by the Individual Support Plans (ISP) and Positive Behavior Support Plans (BSP) of each individual; Person Centered Planning (PCP) and Goal Tracking for each individual; Transportation of individuals to community activities; Supervision of self-administration of medication; Provide lifting and transferring as required; Training and care of individuals with multiple disabilities, including all ADL(s); Supervision and oversight of health, safety and welfare for persons served including observing physician’s orders, medical protocols; dietary guidelines and demonstrate Universal Precautions daily; Must be able to teach, train, supervise and demonstrate lessons for groups up to 10 individuals; Must be able to lift 75 pounds
SHIFTS: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM – MONDAY – FRIDAY
Must be at least 21 years old
High School Diploma or GED
Valid Driver’s License
1-2 years of experience working with Adults with Developmental Disabilities.
Satisfactory Local Criminal Background Check and Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
Current CPR and First Aid (FA) Certifications.
Current NEGATIVE (TB) Test or Clear Chest X-Ray.
Certified Nurse Assistant (C.N.A) preferred.
