Job Description:

The Building Treasurer maintains an accounting system, including budget and revenue activity, for the school according to established Board policy and Indiana State Board of Account guidelines. Additional duties include providing administrative support for the building principal.

• A High School Diploma or training and experience that are considered equivalent. Post‑high school training is desirable.
• Ability to be bonded.
• Good typing and computer skills required.
• Good communication skills.
• Knowledge of Standard Bookkeeping procedures and practices.
• Organized

• Maintains ECA budget, revenue, and fund records.
• Receives, counts, and deposits money in a timely manner as required by law.
• Prepares receipts for revenue (athletics, i‑Pad rental, student’s fees, etc.) collected.
• Processes purchase orders and request to purchase.
• Coordinates the billing and collection of fees at the school.
• Reconciles bank to fund report balances at month and year end.
• Assists School Advisors for school activity funds in keeping accurate records for each group.
• Reconciles/Balances duties for the Principal.
• Performs secretarial duties for the Principal.
• Maintains building inventory and verifies bi‑annually.
• Collaborates with the Chief Financial Officer on district accounts.
