- Commission, calibrate, and service new or modified equipment at customer's facility to ensure full functionality according to specifications.
- Review performance reports and documentation from customers and field representatives and inspect malfunctioning or damaged product to determine nature and scope of problem.
- Analyze review and inspection findings to determine source of problem, and recommend repair, replacement, or other corrective action.
- Coordinate problem resolution with engineering, customer service, and other personnel to expedite repairs.
- Provide on-site technical assistance to help troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Develop and conduct training on the safe operations of the equipment and demonstrate skills to trainees, including both team members and customers.
- Associate's degree in mechanical discipline from a two-year college or technical school.
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering preferred.
- 3+ years as a field service engineer for machinery or automation equipment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have mechanical and electrical skills having experience in a manufacturing type of environment.
- Proficient with tools and instruments used in troubleshooting of electro schematics diagrams.
- Must have PLC/Automation skills. Experience with Allen Bradley and C++ required.
- Must be able to read and interpret documents such as technical drawings, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Must be able to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Must possess strong communication, math, and computer skills.
- SAP experience preferred.
- Must travel 65%+ of the time, sometimes internationally.
- Drug and background screenings are conducted upon hire.
