Controller, Accounting, Accounting Manager

Growing, privately backed operating company is seeking a hands‑on Controller to lead accounting operations, build scalable processes, and partner closely with executive leadership. This is a high‑impact opportunity for an experienced accounting leader who enjoys improving systems, developing teams, and driving business performance.

• Oversee all accounting operations, month‑end close, and financial reporting
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Build and enhance accounting processes, controls, and reporting capabilities
• Partner with operational leaders to support strategic decision‑making
• Manage and develop an accounting team
• Drive process improvements and system optimization
• Support ongoing growth initiatives and organizational scalability

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
• 2+ years of accounting leadership experience
• Experience improving processes and building scalable accounting functions
• Inventory accounting experience preferred
• Experience with in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, home services, construction, distribution, manufacturing, hospitality, or other operationally intensive industries preferred
• Strong business acumen and executive presence
• Ability to influence stakeholders, build relationships, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment
