Senior Manager, IT Procurement
The Sr Manager, IT Procurement is responsible for leading IT Hardware, Network, & Telecom categories globally with a total spend in excess of $100 million. Reporting to the Global Procurement Director of Enterprise Technology within Baxter’s Indirect Procurement team, this role leads procurement excellence and drives best value for the categories under management, with a key focus on cost, quality, and service.
WhatYou’ll Be Doing
- Collaborate with internal partners to lead category strategies, pipeline items, and short/medium/long-term goals supporting product pipeline delivery.
- Lead supplier selection, risk assessment, and contract negotiation for key projects.
- Ensure Supplier Relationship Management programs are in place for strategic and critical suppliers in the relevant categories of spend.
- Provide regular progress updates to Senior Leadership and key internal partners.
- Negotiate across critical supply agreements using strong value‑based techniques.
- Monitor, track, and report on savings and incremental value of sourcing activities.
- Stimulate and support innovation by reviewing market developments and mobilizing the appropriate internal network.
- Lead as an inspiring leader to keep Baxter ahead of marketplace trends in cost management.
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Information Technology, or Business Management.
- Minimum 7 years of category management experience with multinational organizations.
- Prior experience sourcing IT with an emphasis on Network, Hardware, & Telecom.
- Proven people, stakeholder, and project management experience.
- Ability to coordinate multiple parallel sourcing initiatives across different business groups.
- Strong analytic and negotiation skills.
- Business sense and critical thinking ability.
- Experience with contracting, including MSA, SaaS, software license agreements, SOCs, amendments, and NDAs.
- Deep understanding of procurement standard processes, supply markets, suppliers and products.
- Ability to work in a multi‑cultural and matrix environment.
- Advanced knowledge of pricing models and contract terms.
Estimated base salary for this position is $144,000 – $198,000 annually. The estimated range reflects anticipated compensation; actual pay may vary based on market data, location, skills, expertise, experience, and other factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
