CDL Rear Load Truck Driver

6:30am – 8:30pm, Monday through Friday

• Provide trash or recycling removal services to customers, safely and compliantly, by emptying containers into the truck and hauling to a disposal site.
• Routinely enter and exit the truck approximately 300–500 times per day, depending on the assigned route.
• May be required to pull or push containers from enclosures or inside buildings.
• Replace trash or recycling receptacles neatly at the curb or designated area.
• Clean up waste spills and overflows.
• Maintain and update route and driver log sheets.
• Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections and complete logs.
• Interact professionally with internal and external customers, providing excellent customer service.
• Clean waste from the packer blade, truck body, and ensure cleanliness of the truck cab.
• Deliver trash or recycling containers as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• This position will not manage employees.

• Ability to read and understand a map.
• Ability to enter and exit the truck 300–500 times per day.
• Excellent truck driving and maneuvering skills.
• General knowledge of truck mechanics.
• Good written and verbal communication skills to effectively and professionally communicate with internal and external customers.

• Waste industry experience is a plus.

• Continuously push or pull a maximum of 75 lbs.
• Frequently lift or carry a maximum of 75 lbs.
• Rarely lift, carry, push, or pull 100 lbs.
• Continuously work outside in changing temperatures, wet/humid conditions.
• Continuously work in areas of dust, odors, mist, gases, and other airborne matter.
• Frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
• Frequently climb and/or balance.
• Frequently sit, stand, or walk.

• Must have at least a valid Class B CDL.
• Must have a valid DOT Medical Card or be able to obtain one prior to hire.
• Must be at least 19 years of age.
• No more than three moving violations within the last two years.
• Must not have any DUI's or OVI's within the last five years or two in the last ten years.
• Possible exposure to high traffic conditions and/or tight driving areas.
• Exposure to residential and commercial waste.
• Ability to travel between offices as required.
• Ability to work flexible hours; expected to work nights and weekends as needed.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Valid driver’s license (if applicable).
• Must successfully complete pre‑employment testing.
• Must be able to read and speak English.
