Job Description:

Systems Engineer (Linux-Dev Ops)

We are looking for a driven  Systems Engineer  with a strong passion for Linux environments and a hands-on, problem-solving mindset. In this role, you will go beyond routine operations—you will take ownership of infrastructure stability, performance, and reliability.
You will leverage your expertise in Linux internals and networking to deploy, manage, and troubleshoot critical services that power our systems.
If you enjoy digging into logs, solving complex system issues, and continuously learning the modern web stack, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities
System Administration:
Install, configure, and maintain Linux distributions such as Ubuntu, CentOS, and Debian across multiple environments.
Service Management:
Deploy, configure, and manage core services including web servers (Nginx), databases (MySQL), and caching systems (Redis).
Troubleshooting & Performance Analysis:
Monitor system health and diagnose performance issues, including file system errors, memory leaks, and CPU bottlenecks.
Network Operations:
Apply strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, SSH, and firewalls to ensure secure and reliable connectivity.
Automation & Efficiency:
Use shell scripting and Linux utilities to automate repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency.
Log Monitoring & Incident Prevention:
Proactively analyze system and application logs to detect and resolve issues before they impact users.
Required

Skills & Qualifications
Linux Expertise:
Strong proficiency in the Linux command line (CLI) and tools such as grep, awk, sed, top/htop, journalctl, and systemd.
Networking Fundamentals:
Solid understanding of networking concepts including subnets, ports, firewalls (iptables/ufw), and load balancing.
Problem-Solving Ability:
Strong analytical skills to diagnose system-level issues and identify root causes effectively.
Infrastructure Awareness:
Basic understanding of system resources such as CPU, memory, disk I/O, and virtualization environments.
Soft Skills & Cultural Fit
Curiosity & Learning Mindset:
Eagerness to explore and adopt new technologies.
Analytical Thinking:
Focus on root cause analysis rather than temporary fixes.
Documentation Discipline:
Ability to document processes, troubleshooting steps, and system configurations clearly.

What We Offer
Opportunity to work on a modern and scalable technology stack
A culture that encourages hands-on learning and continuous improvement
Mentorship from experienced engineers in open-source technologies
Bonus Points

Experience with personal/home lab setups
Familiarity with terminal multiplexers (tmux, screen)
Strong preferences or experience with editors like Vim or Nano
