General Fasteners Company located in Denton, TX is hiring a full‑time Warehouse Team Member. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A WAREHOUSE TEAM MEMBERThe role involves receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products to ensure accurate and timely deliveries while maintaining a clean, organized workplace. The candidate must be detail‑oriented, able to work independently as well as in a team, and able to follow safety procedures.
WORK SCHEDULE2nd shift: 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm, Monday‑Friday.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment following company standards.
- Load and unload delivery trucks using forklifts or pallet jacks.
- Organize stock and maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with other general warehouse duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1–2 years of warehouse experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Previous warehouse or distribution experience is a plus.
- Physical ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Familiarity with inventory systems and handheld scanners is a plus.
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one is preferred.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Customer‑focused attitude and desire to grow with the organization.
- Work in a warehouse environment with exposure to ambient temperatures and high noise levels when operating motorized equipment.
- Require safety equipment such as safety shoes.
- Frequent bending, twisting, standing, and lifting loads between 20–50 lbs.
- Visual ability for close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
