Senior Cloud Systems Engineer - Onsite | Denver, CO - Space Operations & Mission Software

A pioneering aerospace company developing next-generation lunar mobility and robotic systems is seeking a Senior Cloud Systems Engineer to support mission-critical ground software infrastructure powering future space exploration programs.

This role will focus on managing highly available cloud and Kubernetes environments for a cutting-edge command and control platform supporting lunar vehicle operations and mission control activities.

• Own and manage production releases and deployment pipelines using Git Ops methodologies
• Maintain highly available Kubernetes infrastructure and cloud environments
• Drive operational excellence through monitoring, observability, metrics, and uptime management
• Develop and maintain Helm charts for complex infrastructure deployments
• Implement progressive deployment strategies including canary and blue‑green deployments
• Manage Kubernetes networking, DNS, load balancing, storage, and secrets management
• Support AWS infrastructure and Kubernetes optimization initiatives
• Collaborate with software and infrastructure teams to improve reliability and operational standards

• 5+ years’ experience within Dev Ops, SRE, or Cloud Infrastructure Engineering
• AWS experience including EKS, IAM, VPC networking, and Load Balancers
• Strong Kubernetes administration experience within production environments
• Experience writing and managing Helm charts for large-scale applications
• Hands‑on experience with Git Ops workflows and tools such as Flux CD
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, and observability practices
• Experience supporting high-availability systems with 99.99%+ uptime requirements
• Strong troubleshooting, decision-making, and operational support capabilities
• SRE methodologies including SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets
