Intermediate Business Intelligence Reporting Analyst; Hybrid

Job Summary

Responsible for the development and support of Business Intelligence Analytics products and platforms including data warehouse, data visualizations, and interactive reports. Apply BI and analytics subject matter expertise to deliver tools and data representations that increase organizational profit and support strategic goals.

• Continuously develop and maintain understanding of BI technology and architecture, including data warehousing, dimensional modeling, OLAP, reporting tools, and information delivery methods.
• Develop and maintain expertise with MSBI tools – Excel/Power Pivot, SSRS, Performance Point, SSIS, SSAS/BISM.
• Create database and presentation solutions to deliver accurate, efficient information to end‑users.
• Extract, transform, and load data using data management tools and T‑SQL.
• Analyze, understand, and document user needs to ensure accurate fulfillment of user story requests from internal business customers.
• Contribute to, and possibly lead, project teams developing or modifying complex information solutions.
• Administer and maintain the BI portal, data warehouse, and existing BI solutions.
• Develop expertise in data and data models within the warehouse and supported business domains.
• Create data models, dictionaries, and report glossaries as needed.
• Conduct user interviews, training sessions, and mentor teammates on BI tools and methods.
• Facilitate internal testing and user acceptance testing.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience.
• Minimum of 2–5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of BI concepts and tools.
• Demonstrated ability to write SQL/T‑SQL queries to retrieve or modify data.
• Experience with BIDS/MSBI stack.
• Ability to abstract concepts into lifecycle components and events.
• Significant experience developing physical dimensional models, OLAP processes, or data visualizations, or data modeling and discovery to solve business problems.
• Proven problem‑solving ability and willingness to think “outside‑the‑box.”
• SAS programming experience (preferred).
• Experience with Alteryx, Tableau, Microsoft Power
  
  BI (preferred).
• Strong experience with MSBI tools (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS).
• Advanced MS Excel skills, including Office data connections and pivot tables.
• Conceptual, logical, or physical data modeling experience (a plus).
• Insurance industry experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of multiple IT platforms.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Organizational and prioritization skills with effective judgment.

The salary for this position generally ranges between $80,000 – $95,000 annually. Additional compensation may include annual bonus and other benefits as outlined by company policies.
