Manufacturing ​/ Production Operative, Material Handler

Location: Derbyshire

We are currently seeking a reliable, hardworking, and safety-conscious FLT Operative to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in maintaining high standards, and can support daily operational activities across the site.

The successful candidate must hold a valid External Counterbalance FLT Licence (2.5t) and an MP Connect Card. Candidates with an IOSH qualification or equivalent health & safety training are highly desirable, as this is typically required to obtain the MP Connect Card.

Key Responsibilities

Operate a 2.5t Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
Carry out general brushing, cleaning, and housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe working environment
Move materials and packaging ranging from 25kg to 1 tonne around production and storage areas
Support loading, unloading, and line feeding activities
Assist with basic production line operations and changeovers when required
Follow all company health & safety, hygiene, and operational procedures
Work flexibly across warehouse and production areas as directed by supervisors or team leaders
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard while maintaining site safety and cleanliness

Requirements

Valid External Counterbalance FLT Licence (2.5t)
MP Connect Card
Physically fit and capable of manual handling and lifting heavy materials
Strong awareness of workplace safety and housekeeping standards
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Flexible attitude and willingness to support different operational areas
