What you will do:

- Conduct comprehensive DoLS assessments covering mental capacity, best interests, and eligibility with diligence and attention to detail.

- Serve as a Best Interests Assessor (BIA) if qualified, ensuring all actions are lawful, necessary, and proportionate.

- Coordinate with families, care providers, and professionals during the assessment, fostering communication and understanding.

- Provide informed recommendations or challenges regarding authorisations for deprivation of liberty.

- Maintain detailed, legally compliant records and reports for transparency and accountability.

- Partake in reviews, reassessments, and court processes such as Court of Protection proceedings.

- Advocate for individuals’ human rights, ensuring the most restrictive care is avoided wherever possible.
