The Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECEN) Program (https://(Please contact us using the "Apply for this Job Posting" box below)) at Texas A&M University at Qatar (TAMUQ) (http://) invites applications for the position of a full-time, non-tenure accruing, Instructional Assistant Professor at our campus in Doha, Qatar. This position assumes a 9-month academic appointment with an anticipated starting date of August 16, 2020. Texas A&M University at Qatar is a partnership with Qatar Foundation, and is based in a new, state-of-the-art, 595,000 square foot building that was completed in 2007. TAMUQ offers Bachelor of Science degrees in Chemical, Electrical and Computer, Mechanical, and Petroleum Engineering and a Master Program in Chemical Engineering. The degree programs are identical to those of the main campus at College Station, Texas. A Texas A&M University diploma is awarded to graduates.

Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering is required. Applicants must have completed all requirements for a Ph.D. by the time of the start date. The successful candidate must have a strong commitment to teaching excellence at the undergraduate level and to provide service activities. Preference will be given to applicants familiar with the U.S. higher education system, with outstanding academic qualifications and with excellent teaching experience in well-respected universities.
The applicant's primary responsibility will be teaching courses in Electrical and Computer Engineering with special emphasis on fundamental courses in electrical engineering. Knowledge of Python, excellent programming skills and research experience in electrical engineering represent a plus.
The 9-month appointment includes a 3-3 teaching load during Fall-Spring semesters.
