New Britain | Part Time, Hourly | $15.50-$17.00 per hour

We are looking for an assistant teacher passionate about bringing the best out in kids, connecting to our community and having fun!
What is needed for this job
* High School diploma
* Bachelor's Degree or credits in Early Childhood Education preferred
* 2+ years of experience working with children - this can be professional, volunteer, or familial (babysitting, etc.)
* Passionate about working with children in a fun, diverse environment
* 21+ years of age
The responsibilities we will trust you with:
* Designing age appropriate lesson plans and activities
* Cultivating and fostering a safe and nurturing environment that will encourage physical, emotional, and intellectual growth of children in the program
* Adjusting curriculum to ensure that all children meet the learning objectives
* Utilizing state and YMCA guidelines to ensure the safety and well being of the children
* Building strong relationships with the parents
