We have an immediate need for experienced Technicians on our 1st or 2nd shift at our Doylestown, Pennsylvania facility.
This is a hands-on role and requires the ability to analyze, diagnose, run, and manage at the operator level complex processes for high-end manufacturing operations of optical components. The selected candidate will safely operate specialty automated and semiautomated manufacturing and test equipment in cleanroom environments. Processes relate to the coating, lamination and integration of optical components mostly for high-end display applications such as cockpit LCDs. The position receives day-to-day direction and support regarding work assignments, troubleshooting, and interpretation of process and quality work instructions from Operations leadership as well as by Engineering and Quality.

Equipment and process setup, loading, and unloading following established setup, process, and quality work instructions.
Inspecting pre-process and post-process parts to ensure adherence to specifications and standards.

Candidates best suited for this role are hands-on, mechanically inclined, methodical, focused, detail-oriented, and production-minded.
Ideally 2+ years’ experience in manufacturing environment, preferably involving precision assembly, military electronics, or electronic medical devices and/or optics and clean room environment. Experience with, thin film or thick film coating equipment, experience with electronic display (e.g., LCD) assembly and integrations, experience with optical laminations, or any relevant automated or semiautomated specialty performing processing.
Two-year technical degree in electronic technology or related field with basic engineering knowledge preferred. Experienced, hands-on but non-degreed applicants will be considered.
Experience working with team of engineers, technicians, and associates in a specialty high quality production environment and assisting Special Projects as needed.
Possess well-developed troubleshooting, problem solving, and analytical skills, specifically involving technical processes.
Proficient computer skills including generation of test reports using MS Word, and review and processing of MS Excel reports, as well as ability to keep detailed records of all technical work.
Willingness and ability to learn new technologies quickly, work very carefully, and pay fullest attention to the details of a process.
Demonstrated analytical, written and oral communication skills. Familiarity with test equipment and related standards and procedures. Familiarity with optically-related test equipment, standards, and procedures is a plus.
Ability to perform duties inside a clean room with appropriate gowning, gloves, and paper half-mask when appropriate.
Ability to lift, with or without accommodation, up to 40 pounds on an occasional basis and up to 20 pounds on a regular basis.
This position requires standing and walking for the majority of the workday.
Willingness and availability to work overtime as requested to meet task deadlines.
