Amazon Now (A-Now) team is looking for a business/product leader to drive A-Now design for a seamless customer shopping journey. This role will be a combination of product ownership and business strategy ownership to ensure customers in the region have the best grocery shopping experience when they order from Amazon. The role blends business strategy, product development and management, program value assurance, operational excellence and entrepreneurship.
- MENA A-Now plans to invest millions in coupons to acquire, engage and reward customers to drive basket‑building missions. The goal is to improve cashback spend efficiency by reducing E%
O from 18% to 10% by EOY through multiple initiatives including AI/ML that personalizes reward amounts at the individual customer level, minimizing overall reward spend while achieving a targeted OPS outcome. - Assortment Planning:
Define and own the product vision for a dark store assortment planning system – one of the highest‑leverage decisions in quick commerce, directly determining what customers can and cannot buy on Amazon Now. Working across Retail, A-Now category, and Tech, you will build a framework that optimises the selection master at individual store level, balancing physical space constraints across temperature zones, demand signals from a multi‑tier fulfilment network (Superstores, Rush Nodes, FBA), and SIC benchmark coverage across three MENA marketplaces.
You will need to align stakeholders with competing priorities and drive decisions in ambiguous, fast‑moving conditions. - Build an inventory health system/process which monitors inventory quality in Dark Stores and Hubs and accordingly shape supply levers (more downstream transfers) and demand levers (liquidation pricing) to reduce waste. This system is expected to reduce Expiry from ~9% GMS currently to
- 7+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non‑tech teams experience
- 7+ years of program or project management experience
- 7+ years of managing, analysing and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardisation
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
- Experience delivering projects within scope, time, budget and quality
