Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of shipping containers identifying damage defects and non‑compliance with industry standards using IICL guidelines.
- Evaluate container structural integrity including walls floors roofs and doors to ensure seaworthiness and cargo-worthiness and assess the extent of damage.
- Verify container cleanliness and suitability for specific cargo types checking for contaminants odors or residues that could compromise cargo.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports accurately documenting findings with photographs and descriptions adhering to IICL protocols and company standards.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, demonstrating a foundational level of education.
- Hold a valid IICL (Institute of International Container Lessors) certification, showcasing specialized expertise in container inspection.
- Have at least 2-3 years of experience in container inspection or a related field, providing practical industry knowledge.
- Prior experience in the shipping or logistics industry is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with container operations.
