  • The Sales Assistant plays a vital role in driving sales and enhancing customer satisfaction in a retail environment. This position involves direct interaction with customers, ensuring they receive the support needed in selecting products and making purchases, while also maintaining high standards of store presentation and cleanliness. Success in this role is dependent on a positive attitude, good communication skills, and the ability to perform operational tasks efficiently as directed by the store management.
Overview Of The Role:
  • The Sales Assistant plays a vital role in driving sales and enhancing customer satisfaction in a retail environment. This position involves direct interaction with customers, ensuring they receive the support needed in selecting products and making purchases, while also maintaining high standards of store presentation and cleanliness. Success in this role is dependent on a positive attitude, good communication skills, and the ability to perform operational tasks efficiently as directed by the store management.
What You Will Do:

Sales and Customer Service
  • Create a sparkling clean and organized environment by maintaining store standards and cleanliness.
  • Greet customers immediately upon entering the store with a smile and sincere non-business-like greeting.
  • Provide customers with current relevant information about the product.
  • Offer quality service in the fitting rooms, follow up with customers in a timely manner, and attempt to add on to the sale.
  • Provide efficient service at the cash wrap, offer gift cards, maintain cash wrap cleanliness, and capture customer information in the database.
  • Sincerely thank all customers for shopping as they exit the store, and invite them back.
Operational Duties
  • Deliver a positive customer experience.
  • Perform a variety of operational duties as assigned by the store management team, such as housekeeping duties and visual presentation standards.
Required Skills To Be Successful:
  • Strong verbal communication skills to engage customers effectively.
  • Physical stamina for standing and performing heavy lifting duties.
  • Basic proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Ability to create a welcoming and organized store environment.
What Qualifies You For The Role:
  • High School Degree.
  • 1-2 years of retail sales experience.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) packages such as AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Illustrator, or Photoshop.
  • Good verbal communication skills and the ability to perform heavy lifting tasks and stand for at least 8 hours.
