Cashier & Supervisor
Responsibilities
Efficiently process customer transactions ensuring accuracy and speed while handling cash, credit cards and other payment methods.
Supervise and guide a team of cashiers, providing training, support and performance feedback to maintain high service standards.
Manage and reconcile the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift, resolving any discrepancies promptly.
Oversee customer service interactions, addressing complaints and resolving issues to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Coordinate with the meat shop team to ensure accurate pricing, weighing, labeling and billing of meat products.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards at the cashier and customer service area in accordance with meat shop and food safety requirements.
Assist in monitoring stock movement, promotional offers and daily sales reports within the meat shop.
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent is required; a degree in business or a related field is a plus.
- Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in a cashier role, with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity.
- Proven experience in the retail, supermarket, or meat shop industry, demonstrating a strong understanding of customer service principles.
- Prior experience using Point of Sale (POS) systems and cash register operations is essential.
- Familiarity with meat shop operations, weighing scales, product handling, and hygiene standards will be an added advantage.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
