Our client - the leader in their field is seeking a Compliance / Statutory Accountant to join thier team for a minimum of 12 months.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Preparation of statutory financial statements for all Group entities (Ireland and UK):
* Finance teams are responsible for the core reconciliations;
* Developing consistent underlying reporting templates for financial disclosure;
* Liaising with PwC as statutory auditors.
* Manage all Group inter-company trading and financial positions via matrix reporting.
* Preparation of Irish entity form B1 annual returns for annual submission to CRO.
* Preparation of statutory minutes to record the approval of Irish and UK legal entity statutory accounts.

Preparation of Group VAT return and sanity checking via:
* Monthly review of VAT rate attaching to all new product set ups;
* Monthly review of statutory disallowed input VAT;

Monthly review of inventory sourcing for VAT input claims:
* Ireland (Reclaim all VAT incurred);
* EU (0% VAT incurred and subject to Inter Community Acquisitions Process);
* Non EU (VAT at point of entry).
* Preparation of monthly INTRASTAT and VIES Reporting.
* Facilitate with IT the implementation of a new SAP VAT reporting framework via condition tables and a more robust auditable VAT coding structure.
* Annual CSO reporting and management of other monthly CSO reporting.
* Annual Form 46G reporting to Revenue regarding all payments for services in excess of 6,000.

Corporation tax compliance reporting for all Irish legal entities:
Preparation of tax questionnaires to facilitate tax computations via:
* Summary and detailed P&L entity reporting via GL and cost centre analysis;
* Detailed year to date reporting on all tax sensitive P&L accounts;
* Fixed asset tax reporting to facilitate capital allowance computations;
* Review of tax computations in order to ensure alignment with underlying statutory accounts.
* B pharmacy consolidation into Annual Report including bi-annual business support charge billings to participating B pharmacies.

Share secretarial compliance support to plc via:
* Maintenance of membership and share register records;
* Preparation and issue of share certificates;
* CRO filings reflecting share issues.

Full back office support to Ultas Limited via:
* Annual accounts preparation;
* Banking transactions;
* Preparation of audit file for statutory audit.

Full back office support to plc via:
* Budgetary control and PO management;
* VAT returns;
* Banking administration;
* Management of monthly billings to members;
* Management of annual billing to Wholesale Limited;
* Management accounts and audit file preparation.

QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED
* Professionally qualified accountant;
* Practice background an advantage;
* Exposure to ERP accounting and reporting systems such as SAP an advantage;
* Minimum 2 years post qualification experience;
* Ability to work under own initiative and provide proactive solutions;
* Ability to manage work to meet compliance deadlines;
* Organised with an aptitude and interest in compliance;
* Committed to achieving best in class relationships with all financial regulatory authorities.
