We are seeking to recruit a legal executive to join our busy residential sales unit within our Real Estate Group. The Group, which is renowned nationally and internationally, advises across the complete spectrum of property-related matters.
Responsibilities will include:
Managing individual sales transactions from issue of contracts to completion
Involvement in preparation of contract and scheme documentation
Managing the issue and return of contracts, third party and closing documents
Daily correspondence and interaction with purchaser’s solicitors, agents and clients
Replying to pre-contract enquiries and Requisitions on Title
Reporting to client in respect of transactions
Working closely with existing team and regular reporting to Head of team
Preparation of closing documents for each transaction
Liaising with third parties such as architects, funders, agents in respect of queries and closing documentation
Attending at closings and completing transactions
Assisting with registrations, client and 3rd party correspondence
Updating sales spread sheets
Completion of all necessary post-closing matters including stamping, registrations, billing and file closure documentation
Assisting in preparation of documentation for ad hoc commercial property transactions
Other administrative tasks and ad hoc projects as requested
Experience, Knowledge & Skills
The Successful Candidate will have:
Some legal executive conveyancing experience; ideally with a leading law firm;
A strong interest and ability in the area;
The relevant candidate should require little supervision;
Able to analyse and solve problems;
Good organisational skills;
Aptitude for working with computers and case management systems;
Discretion when dealing with confidential information;
Strong interpersonal and communications skills;
Ability to exercise sound judgement and decision making;
Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills;
A high level of accuracy and attention to detail;
A positive attitude and be a team player.
Qualifications and Education
The successful candidate will have the following:
Preferably a legal executive qualification or equivalent proven experience in a busy Real Estate team
