Bologna Health Jobs has new exciting opportunities for Registrar doctors in Paediatrics (with neonatal experience) for a Dublin hospital and a Midlands Hospital for incorporation during the month of January 2020.

The registrar is responsible for providing frontline and hands on care for a wide variety of patients within the Paediatric Department. Not only does the registrar provide lifesaving medical care, they are also responsible for guiding and training the junior staff (SHO's). On-call duties are also required for Paediatric Registrars which allow the individuals to take full responsibility and gain valuable experience in their speciality.

Benefits:

-           Initial contracts of 6 months with a view to extending further. Big opportunities to obtain permanent contracts for Consultants positions in the mid- term (1 or 2 years) if on the specialist Registrar for Anaesthesia.

-           Annual total gross salary for Registrars of 80.000-110.000€ (including 4-5 on-calls a month). Approximate net monthly salary of 4500-5000€ net/month after tax and pension deductions for Registrar positions.

-           3 weeks holiday every semester for registrar posts.

-           Allowance for children of 140€/month*child can be obtained once you become a resident if you have children under your responsibility.

Requirements and Qualifications:

For Registrar level applications the following requirements apply:

The candidates will have to register with the IMC (Irish Medical Council) at least in the General Register for Registrar posts (if they haven’t done so yet). Assistance will be granted to do this if the candidate qualifed inside the European Union and we will help you all the way through.Please take into account that the registration process typically takes up to 3 months since doctors start the paper work so it will be advisable to start ASAP as doctors can’t take up a job place till they are registered.

Candidates should have a minimum experience of 4-5 years’ experience in Paediatrics and neonatology (counting your residency period). All candidates that have just finished their specialty or are going to do it in the near future will be highly considered for this post.

The level of English requested is very high (equivalent at least to a B2-C1 level). IELTs Academical test band level 7 is a requirement of most Irish hospitals for Registrar positions. Fluency in written and spoken English will be indispensible.
