Financial Planning & Analysis Manager

Reports to Head of Finance

Our client
Our client, a semi state body, is currently recruiting for a Qualified Accountant to lead the financial planning & analysis functions for one of their divisions. In addition, the candidate will be actively involved in leading the budgeting and forecasting processes and supporting the strategic direction of the division.

What's involved
* Due to recent expansion, a position has become available within our client's finance team. Due to the diversity of our client's portfolio, this role offers a significant amount of variety. The right candidate will contribute fully to the development and implementation of the division's strategy across all areas of the business
* The individual who comes in will be afforded a great deal of autonomy and will lead the annual business planning and budgeting process
* You will be involved in mapping out a 5 year plans that set out the key deliverables and financial targets during that time frame, ensuring alignment with divisional and Group objectives
* You will be involved in reviewing and managing their systems to enhance the relevance accuracy and timeliness of the information.
* The ideal candidate will be able to communicate effectively as a key element of this role is to liaise with senior members of the organisation

Desired Technical/Professional Competencies
* Qualified accountant (ie. CIMA, ACA, ACCA)
* Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience, preferably with commercial exposure
* People management experience
* Strong financial and analytical skills
* Excellent team motivational and leadership skills
* Ability to plan, organise and manage team work
* Proven experience of continuous development and improvement
* Very strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office & accounting software packages
