Position Summary
We are looking for a licensed Architect with 15+ years of post-degrees experience in architectural design, construction and premises safety. The successful candidate will investigate architectural and premises safety incidents, analyze documents and on-site conditions, write reports, and provide expert testimony. The role involves collaborating with experts and continuously learning in a challenging forensic environment.

- B.S. or higher in Architecture and an active state licensure in good standing.
- NCARB membership with multi-state licensure eligibility; AIA membership a plus.
- Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI) certification or willingness to become certified.
- At least 15 years of post-degrees experience designing or working on buildings for a variety of use groups (assembly, business, educational, mercantile, industrial, institutional, factory and residential, mixed-use).
- Experience with code evaluation, specification writing, diagnosing building defects and design analysis.
- Proven construction experience through contract administration, construction management, design/build or general contracting.
- Property management and BIM experience a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of building safety and construction technology.
- Excellent technical and analytical skills; strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to safely climb, navigate ladders, roofs, scaffolding, etc. for inspection activities.
- Approximately 20% travel for inspections, remainder in analysis and report drafting, working independently and collaboratively.
- No prior forensic experience required.
Must have a clean background screen, a driver's license and driving ability.
