Electric Utility Field Auditors; Distribution Construction & Safety

Joe Knows Energy is hiring Electric
Field Auditors to support electric distribution construction across Ohio.

These roles are focused on electric utility work
—evaluating overhead and underground distribution construction, safety practices, and compliance with industry standards.

This is more than an auditing role. It’s an opportunity to influence field culture, elevate safety and quality, and make a measurable impact on the future of America’s energy infrastructure.

• Audit distribution line construction, maintenance, and service work
• Evaluate job briefings, PPE, grounding, cover-up, and equipment use
• Verify compliance with standards, NESC, and OSHA
• Document findings with photos, notes, and standardized scoring
• Communicate results to the audit supervisor

• Background in utility distribution work (lineworker, apprentice, inspector, safety tech)
• Understanding of NESC and OSHA
• Ability to work outdoors and travel daily
• Strong communication and documentation skills
