Position:  GA - Sr Spec.   Tax Quality Team
Job Title: Payroll Tax Sr Specialist, Quality
Department: Payroll Tax
FLSA Status: Full Time, Exempt
Reports To: Payroll Tax Manager
Key Responsibilities:

Resolve tax discrepancies by analyzing information and processing corrections
Handle tax issue resolution including researching and responding to tax inquires or notices
Handle monthly, quarterly and annual reconciliations
Process tax adjustments, W2 corrections and tax return amendments as needed or assigned
Provide the highest level of customer service and support to clients
Perform periodic system/data audits for accuracy
Prioritize and resolve assigned tasks in case management system.
Oversee system maintenance to include set up/testing when tax changes occur
Ensure accurate and timely preparation, balancing, processing of payroll tax liabilities
Maintain current knowledge of all payroll tax regulations including federal, state, and local regulations
Lead year end W-2 processes and reconciliations
Support and lead special projects as needed in support of the payroll tax function
Other duties as assigned

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


Ability to interpret and analyze complex data, make determinations free from immediate direction, and ensure that payroll taxes are appropriately processed
Professional Employer Organization (PEO) or related industry experience preferred
MasterTax and HR Pyramid software experience a plus
FPC or CPP Certification a plus
Must be results-oriented with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while meeting strict deadlines
Strong analytical and organizational skills with a proactive approach
A thorough knowledge and understanding of payroll tax and the regulatory environment, which includes federal, multi-state, and local tax regulations as well as the ability to read, understand, and analyze highly complex regulatory payroll tax information
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively and possess strong customer service skills

Qualifications:


A minimum of three years multi-state payroll tax, tax return preparation and high volume experience
Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
Strong technical, time management and organization skills
