We currently have an opening for Territory Manager - Outside Sales to cover Auer Steel's Northeast Minnesota market including Duluth, Grand Rapids, International Falls, and others. This territory also includes Douglas and Bayfield counties in Wisconsin.
The Territory Manager - Outside Sales position provides a great opportunity to grow in an HVAC career within a well‑established company. The purpose of this role is to grow sales by identifying the needs of the customer and presenting our HVAC residential and light commercial products, programs and ideas that will result in the customer's success. It is essential to effectively present detailed information on various products, programs and services offered by the company.
This position has the potential to earn $120K+ annually.
This position is best suited for someone who is energetic, dependable, and self‑driven.
WHAT DOES THE POSITION DO?- Scheduling appointments and meeting with existing customers to review products and programs as required and determine other opportunities.
- Effective planning, performing, and reporting of physical sales calls to customers on a regular basis.
- Presenting professional demonstrations or presentations of company products, programs and services while onsite.
- Liaising between the company and the customers for up‑to‑date conditions on pricing, services and latest product release launches.
- Generating and developing opportunities with new accounts in order to increase revenue through effective regular cold calling.
- Continuously updating all customers on company product, program and service modifications, changes, and enhancements.
- Enhancing personal up‑to‑date knowledge on new products, procedures, services and tools by attending departmental sales meetings and trainings.
- Maintaining professionalism, diplomacy, sensitivity, and tact to portray the company in a positive manner.
- Effectively attending conferences and trade shows.
- Using marketing data to maximize sales effectiveness and efficiency by using relevant sales management tools.
- Organizing joint sale calls and attending them with vendors.
- Preparing sales planning and call reports for sales and marketing and maintaining expense accounts.
- Performing updating and maintenance of accounts and customer data including all contact names and numbers for future sales.
- Providing product quotes to customers as needed.
- Ensuring follow‑up to customer's requests, whether performed personally or after passing needs and leads to others, to confirm completion of such requests.
- Prefer at least an Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school.
- Prefer applicants to have at least one year of HVAC sales or product application experience.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook.
- Must have the ability to learn and use business software and various office equipment including computer, iPad/tablets, etc.
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with an acceptable rating.
- Applicant must reside within the territory.
