Technical Skills and Knowledge:
•        As Assistant Human Resources Consultant I provided ongoing support to Team Lead and Business Advisor in the absence of HR Consultant on the team. I worked with complex and sensitive files, assisted senior management in various HR related issues and explained rationale, risks and options as per each advise. I also assisted Business Advisor in researching answers for complex issues and utilized various directives, policies and principles to back up my responses.

•        Daily, I use  Microsoft Office suite, which includes Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, Power Point, and Access to prepare different documents which includes but is not limited to offer letters, WEAR Forms, entitlement letters, temporary assignment agreements, Staffing Request Forms, Excel Recruitment Reports, Word Mail Merge and notice letters.  I utilize MS Excel to constantly update the FTE tracking to provide clients with an accurate representation of their organization. I routinely updated the Premier’s Office and Minister’s Office tracking database in Microsoft Access to show an accurate reflection on active versus inactive employees. I built automated formulas in those Excel spreadsheets that calculate required numbers across the spreadsheets.
Problem Solving and Project Management Skills:
•        I am flexible, adaptable and can work both independently and as part of a team. I interact with clients daily to provide prompt Human Resources support and respond to any requests while referring to HR policies and procedures as required. I liaise with the Human Resources community and I also collaborate with my team when necessary to ensure a consistent and accurate approach. Likewise, I can interpret and apply legislation, collective agreements, policies and directives in order to assist managers with any questions or concerns and in order to provide sound advice.
•        I used my judgment skills in identifying potential staffing issues and advised in creating and designing fillable Adobe Staffing forms. I exercised my negotiating and influencing skills and provided rationale why this form will benefit Premier’s Office – my idea was highly praised and approved. Further, I designed and implemented automatized Adobe form that was brought up to our Management team before sharing with our clients. This form has significantly reduced errors and expedited the operational processes and staffing across all Ministers’ Offices.
•        When leading various projects - I ensured to utilize great project management skills to make sure all the steps were captured in the Project Plan with all dates, potential roadblocks and worked backwards to ensure all deliverables were met. I collaborated with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all deadlines were captures and deliverables were met. Once the project was completed – I presented our findings on a briefing note to Assistant Deputy Minister (ADM) in concise and efficient manner
Relationship Management and Communication Skills:
•        I have superior interpersonal and relationship management by building relationship of trust with clients, colleagues and partners. In order to provide exceptional service to my clients, I relied on relationships with various partners to resolve such as health and safety, Workplace Discrimination Harassment Prevention, job classifications and pay and benefits issues and total compensation. I am confident in briefing senior Management and was asked by our ADM to sit on the interview panel and provide my feedback. My interview notes assisted ADM to identify a successful candidate and to provide feedback to those that were unsuccessful. Once a successful employee was onboarded, I provided full and timely HR support.
•        I have strong written and oral communication skills, which have been acquired throughout my work and educational experiences. In my current role, I am constantly required to prepare, edit and produce variety of documents and require providing ongoing reports to the Deputy Chief of Staff. I acted as HR Consultant and advised on potential problems and issues regarding several matters such as Conflict of Interest, Freedom of Information that mitigated potential risks. My positive attitude and demeanor help me to work effectively and efficiently with the diverse group of team members.  I am always willing to help and come up with creative ideas/games on staying connected with my colleagues and management team.
