Job Overview
We are seeking a Low Voltage Technician to install, service, and test low voltage systems such as fire alarm, access control, CCTV, security, structured cabling, and nurse call. The role involves assisting with special projects, service calls, and continuous learning of new products, upgrades, and software.

- Assist with special projects and service calls
- Continuously learn new products, upgrades, and software programs related to low voltage systems
- High school graduate
- Minimum 5 years experience in Low Voltage systems
- Power Limited License (PLT) required
- Computer Science certificate preferred
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Outstanding organizational and time‑management skills
- Attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
- Proficient PC skills and Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook experience
- Self‑motivated with a strong work ethic and dependability
- Ability to prioritize work and meet strict deadlines
- Computer networking knowledge
- Experience with Notifier, Brivo, Hanwha, AMAG, Genetec preferred
- Valid driver’s license
- Willingness to participate in on‑call rotation
- Work at high‑end residential and commercial job sites exposed to weather conditions
- Frequently kneel, reach, stoop, crouch, crawl, and occasionally sit
- Ability to bend or stand as necessary
- Ability to move and/or lift objects up to 50 pounds regularly
- Valid driver’s license required
- Must pass the Electrician’s Trade Aptitude Test
- Attend one class day per week through Joint Apprenticeship Training Program (free)
- Work as an apprentice AV technician 40 hours per week
- Wages based on union scale and adjusted for hours worked
- Typical program length is three years, with option to test out of some areas
Pay range: $38.21 to $51.07 per hour (MN Limited Energy collective bargaining agreement). Additional benefits are consistent with union terms.
