Active Fence is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Senior Violent Extremism Researcher. Here, you will play a crucial role in conducting in-depth research on hateful speech & behavior, terrorism, and other extremist activities, contributing to our mission of creating a safer and more inclusive online environment for all users. You will be responsible for managing our knowledge and ensuring the quality and standards of research delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth research on violent extremism, analyzing qualitative and quantitative data to uncover actionable insights
• Ensure the highest quality and standards in the research delivery to our clients, maintaining a high level of accuracy, clarity, and attention to detail
• Develop research methodologies and frameworks, continuously improving processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging threats, and best practices in the field of violent extremism, actively seeking opportunities for knowledge expansion
• Foster a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the department.
• Review, edit, and synthesize multiple reports from other analysts into unified, client-ready outputs.

Requirements:

• Research experience of 5+ years in the academia, journalism, government or private sector in the field of violent extremism

• A proven experience in intelligence, online investigations, or related fields
  - MUST
• Proven experience in writing detailed reports in English
  - MUST
• OSINT experience –
  MUST
• Experience collecting and analysing primary data on terror and other extremist groups - MUST
• Native or near-native Arabic proficiency, with proven ability to conduct professional, research-level analysis and write in Arabic - significant advantage.
