Position Title:

Mechatronics Engineer

Summary:

Victaulic is seeking a Mechatronics Engineer to support the development, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of automated manufacturing equipment and tooling. This is a hands-on opportunity to work across mechanical, electrical, and controls systems while helping drive reliability, safety, and efficiency in a global manufacturing environment. Responsibilities:

* Support development and sustaining engineering of automated manufacturing equipment and tooling.

* Maintain and troubleshoot PLC programs, control systems, and HMI interfaces.

* Design and support tooling, test equipment, and production fixtures.

* Manage vendor-supplied automation equipment including specification, procurement, and qualification.

* Maintain electrical and mechanical documentation including schematics, BOMs, and revisions.

* Support manufacturing operations with troubleshooting, process improvements, and equipment uptime.

* Ensure compliance with global safety and regulatory standards.

* Coordinate with testing and certification bodies for product and equipment approvals.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering, or 3+ years of relevant technical experience.

* Experience with automated machinery, industrial controls, or manufacturing equipment.

* Knowledge of industrial electrical systems and control panel design.

* Familiarity with PLC programming, HMI systems, and automation troubleshooting.

* Understanding of global machinery safety standards and compliance requirements.

* Ability to read and create electrical schematics and interpret mechanical drawings.

* Experience with CAD tools (Solid Works preferred).

* Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

* Approximately 10% domestic and international travel required.

* Ability to lift within nationally approved EHS limits.

* Ability to work in manufacturing and industrial environments.

* Valid driver's license with no restrictions.
