- General classroom management, assist instructor with both online and traditional face‑to‑face classes.
- Attend sessions, fulfill assignments made by instructor.
- Meet regularly with instructor and provide office hours for students.
- Maintain attendance records, grade assignments and exams.
- Other duties or tasks as assigned by instructor.
- Willing to work at either campus based on department needs.
- Must be in good academic standing.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree or higher appropriate to the area of service.
- Be registered full‑time for the respective semester (9 credit hours in fall and spring; 3 in summer).
- Submit a letter of intent, resume, and a list of three references.
- Ability to work well with diverse groups.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with prospective students.
- Superior writing and editing skills.
- Reliable for work at Edinburg or Brownsville campus to support traditional face‑to‑face classes.
- Full‑time graduate student with GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Undergraduate history minor.
- MA in History or MAIS in History (priority).
