Symbiotic Talent is delighted to be recruiting (7 month FTC initially) for an experienced Finance Business Partner who values flexibility, an excellent team and who wants to make a difference through relationship building, influencing and collaboration. The benefits package including holidays and pension, is excellent. The expectation for being in the office is 1-2 days a week in any of their offices in Scotland (Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee, Stirling).
Sitting within the FP&A function, you will be responsible for the financial control, planning, analysis and reporting as well as leading strategic financial and workforce planning, for the Marketing Directorate. You must ensure that the operational spend is controlled and compliant with financial policies and you will manage resource allocation across complex and interdependent projects.
The Role
The planning, setting and monitoring of budgets and ensuring that monthly analytical reviews are completed and reforecasts are undertaken.
Performance management through ensuring Activity Based Costing's are prepared and reported and ensuring the metrics and KPI's are developed and reported on.
The creation and presentation of monthly financial reporting packs for the Directors and and Head of Departments and discussing reasons for variances and feeding into an overall forecast on both a cash and accrual basis.
Working with HR Business Partners to monitor and report on payroll budgets and actuals. This will involve monthly reporting on headcount, FTE's and staff costs ensuring any variances are adequately explained and that any changes are financial viable.
Project work around the development and testing of ERP and other business systems.
The Person
A qualified accountant with strong business partnering, budget management and financial control experience. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with senior Directors and non financial stakeholders.
