This position requires significant experience in carpentry, along with an Alberta-certified journeyperson status. You will deliver hands-on instruction using CTS Construction modules while guiding students through practical projects.
Your role also involves assessing student progress and ensuring a safe workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement effective instructional activities in the shop
• Guide students in safe tool operation and maintenance
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
• Coordinate hands-on shop activities with the lead teacher
• Maintain a safe, organized woodshop following safety protocols
Requirements:
• Must hold Alberta journeyperson certification in Carpentry
• Minimum five years of instructional industry experience
• Strong knowledge of safety standards and building codes
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and blueprints
• Excellent communication, organizational, and planning skills
Instruct and inspire students in cabinet-making, ensuring industry-standard safety and craftsmanship at Edmonton Catholic Schools.
