A Life Wise teacher plays a pivotal role in sharing the gospel with both churched and unchurched public school students. We are seeking an enthusiastic educator with strong Bible knowledge and a heart for teaching. The ideal candidate is active in their church community, possesses excellent communication skills, and demonstrates a genuine care for children. Qualifications and Experience
Minimum of two years of experience teaching in a classroom setting, either in a school or church.
A mature Christian faith consistent with the Life Wise Academy Statement of Faith.
Active participation in a local church that aligns with the Life Wise Academy's beliefs.
Job Description
Training and Development
Complete the Life Wise Teacher Certification Course within 30 days of your start date.
Participate in the annual Life Wise Summit each year.
Engage in at least one Teachers' Lounge or Life Wise Meet-Up annually.
Stay current on training and updates through Life Wise communications.
Teaching Responsibilities
Utilize the Life Wise curriculum to develop lesson plans and customize the curriculum.
Implement the established curriculum effectively in your classroom.
Foster relationships with students and pray for them regularly.
Create a supportive, organized, and engaging classroom environment.
Adhere to Life Wise policies and procedures.
Record Keeping
Maintain accurate attendance records and provide them as needed.
Keep class rosters updated, noting any health concerns, special needs, or permissions.
Prepare materials for substitute teachers when necessary.
Classroom Management
Ensure a clean, welcoming, and orderly classroom atmosphere.
Be prepared for emergency procedures.
Manage classroom supplies funded by the program director.
Community Engagement
Act as an ambassador for Life Wise Academy within the community.
Attend school open houses and other outreach events.
Maintain communication with school staff regarding class schedules and student well-being.
Build relationships with volunteers, keeping them informed of changes.
Provide regular updates, stories, and photos for program communication.
Promote Life Wise's religious mission in all interactions.
