Gateway Casino is seeking a customer‑service pro who loves working in the fast‑paced and exciting world of the casino. The Slot Attendant role puts you in the heart of the action, interacting with the public and providing next‑level support to guests who enjoy playing the slot machines.
Job Type & Salary
Part‑Time, $16.07/hour
Location:
Starlight Casino
Key Responsibilities
Assist with awareness of and excitement for on‑going and up‑coming Casino promotions.
Manage slot machine reservations and promote casino initiatives.
Work in compliance with internal controls, company policies and procedures and/or provincial lottery/gaming policies and procedures.
Manage a cash float, verify and provide jackpot payouts and monetary change to guests.
Report any violations and escalate to the appropriate level as necessary.
Replenish and maintain slot machines, monitor machine stack lights to ensure prompt service.
Acquire and maintain a knowledge of all slot operation policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned based on operational needs.
What You Bring
Experience handling cash and working with the public.
Superior customer service skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
Basic knowledge of slot machine functions is an asset.
Able to stand for long periods of time and pull, lift, and carry objects weighted similar to a full box of paper.
Serving It Right (BC)/ Proserve (Alberta) Certificate / Smart Serve (Ontario).
The ability to obtain registration with either the BCLC, AGLC or AGCO (based on province).
Deal Us In (Phase
1) and Reel Facts VLT training within 30 days of start (Alberta).
Ability to multi‑task and thrive in a team environment.
A willingness to develop new skills and stay on top of the latest industry news and insights.
