Material Handler

Position Overview

The Material Handler is responsible for maintaining inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock, as well as recording the location of inventory. This role involves locating materials and supplies by pulling and verifying items listed on production orders.

• Certification to drive Forklift in compliance with OSHA standard 29 CFR (1)(3)
• Adhere to standard operating requirements regarding Forklift Daily Inspection
• Load and unload incoming and outgoing materials and products
• Identify and label materials, recording their locations in the warehouse/on the shelves to maintain accurate inventory
• Operate trucks, forklifts, cranes, and other equipment to move freight as needed
• Perform, report, and adjust cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy

• Valid Forklift certification
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently
• Good communication skills for coordinating with team members
• Basic computer skills for inventory management systems
• Physical stamina to lift and move heavy materials as required

• Ability to speak and write fluent English.
• Ability to work overtime as required on short notice.
• History of dependability in the workplace
• Ability to maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Possesses basic math skills and the ability to read tape measures.
• Ability to pay strong attention to detail.
• Possesses a cooperative and positive demeanor and works well in a team environment.
