Security Monitor

Position: SECURITY MONITOR I
The Geo Group -  - Responsibilities:
Maintains continuous state of alertness and awareness to control and secure the facility and residents;
Prepares shift documentation including shift reports, work orders, security reports, and unusual incidents;
Relieves the watch and informs necessary personnel that the watch has been relieved;
Conducts radio checks documenting results in the security log;
Conducts facility counts at prescribed times and ensures accuracy of logbooks;
Patrols buildings to monitor residents and security of doors/windows;
Maintains picture board of residents and bed slots;
Organizes and supervises resident work details for facility cleanliness;
Performs urinalysis testing, pat downs, shakedowns, counts, and breath tests as scheduled or randomly;
Documents disciplinary actions for rule violations and logs accordingly;
Performs cleanliness checks of facility and residents' belongings to meet health/environmental requirements;
Welcomes visitors and verifies identity;
Communicates effectively with residents and staff to maintain positive relations;
Participates in staff meetings to share observations and recommendations;
Maintains confidentiality of information;
Adheres to attendance policies and availability for shifts/overtime;
Complies with safety rules and promotes safe work environment;
Communicates with staff at all levels to foster teamwork;
Performs other duties as assigned
