AP Manager

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic AP Manager to join our client in the fast‑paced and ever‑evolving energy industry. Permanent Role / Above Market Salary / Remote

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounts payable department, including invoice processing, payment processing, and month‑end closing.
• Maintain and improve accounts payable processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Implement and enforce policies and procedures for the accounts payable function to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with the purchasing department to ensure accurate and timely 3‑way match and purchase orders.
• Collaborate with project managers and other key stakeholders to provide accurate project accounting.
• Prepare and present financial reports related to accounts payable for senior management.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounts payable staff.
• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure the best terms.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors during financial audits.
• Participate in strategic planning and budgeting processes.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required. Advanced degree or certification such as CPA is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable or related field, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Experience in the energy industry is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in 3‑way match, purchase orders, and project accounting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulatory standards.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
