Responsibilities
The Graduate Nurse (GN) is a graduate professional nurse who coordinates and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care set by the Texas Board of Nursing.
Qualifications- Education: Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program required;
Bachelor’s Degree preferred. - Experience: Minimum of one year nursing experience preferred.
- Licensure: A graduate permit is allowed temporarily, but an RN license must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
- Additional Requirements: Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications; current CPR certification required upon hire; successful completion of Handle With Care training (including physical hold and verbal de‑escalation) during orientation.
