Principal Enterprise Architect - Supply Chain
Location:
El Segundo, California
Pay Range: USD $175,000 - $210,000 yearly. Base pay will be determined based on candidate's work location, skills and experience.
The OpportunityMattel is seeking a Principal Enterprise Architect - Supply Chain to define and drive the enterprise technology strategy across our global supply chain ecosystem.
This role is for a forward-thinking architect and strategic leader with deep expertise in ERP platforms and end-to-end supply chain domains, including planning, manufacturing, logistics, distribution, PLM, and MDM. You will play a critical role in shaping the future-state architecture, modernizing legacy systems, and enabling a data-driven, intelligent, and resilient supply chain.
Enterprise Architecture & Strategy- Define and lead the enterprise architecture vision and roadmap for Supply Chain technology across Mattel
- Align ERP, supply chain platforms, and digital capabilities with business strategy and transformation goals
- Establish architecture standards, governance, and reference models across the supply chain landscape
- Serve as the architecture leader for ERP transformation initiatives (Oracle Cloud preferred)
- Design future-state architecture integrating ERP with planning, manufacturing, logistics, and distribution systems
- Drive modernization toward cloud-native, composable, and integrated platforms
- Provide deep architectural expertise across:
- Supply Chain Planning (demand, supply, S&OP)
- Manufacturing & shop floor systems
- Logistics, warehousing, and distribution
- Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)
- Master Data Management (MDM)
- Ensure seamless end-to-end process integration and data flow across all domains
- Architect scalable data and integration frameworks
, including APIs, event-driven systems, and EDI - Enable real-time visibility, analytics, and intelligent decision-making across the supply chain
- Support adoption of AI/ML use cases such as demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and supply risk management
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership
, influencing key technology and investment decisions - Lead architecture reviews, roadmap planning, and risk assessments
- Mentor and guide a small team of architects and engineers
, fostering strong technical and leadership capabilities - Collaborate across business, IT, and external partners to deliver aligned outcomes
- 12+ years of experience in enterprise architecture and ERP solutions, with deep focus on supply chain
- Strong expertise across planning, manufacturing, logistics, distribution, PLM, and MDM domains
- Proven experience leading ERP transformations (Oracle Cloud strongly preferred)
- Deep understanding of ERP architecture, integrations, and data flows
- Experience with cloud platforms, APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures
- Strong knowledge of EDI integrations, data platforms, and supply chain analytics
- Proven ability to lead, influence, and communicate with executive stakeholders
- Strong presentation and storytelling skills, able to translate complex architecture into business value
- Experience mentoring and developing high-performing teams
15-20% travel is required.
