Set Up Technician
Shift: 3rd shift

Location: Elgin, IL | On-Site
Duties/Responsibilities- Execute tooling setups and changes along with completing required documentation.
- Daily preventative maintenance on all tools currently in production such as cleaning and greasing.
- Correct process related problems as directed by shift foreman.
- Assist in training new operators on specific jobs.
- Provide operators with equipment necessary to perform their job.
- Ensure the safe and efficient set-up of all molding and support equipment conforming to all schedule’s requirements.
- Ensure all documentation is properly completed and consistently updated as required.
- Assist in the overall cleanliness and orderliness of the manufacturing area.
- Must be able to interact and communicate efficiently between shifts.
- Keep shift foreman informed of abnormal molding conditions or equipment.
- Perform other duties deemed necessary by shift foreman to achieve production.
- Must be able to communicate with outside contacts in the process of pickup and delivery.
- Must be able to communicate with all employees.
- Accountable for the general upkeep of the facilities on a daily basis.
- Must be able to speak and read English.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record.
- Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
- Must be able to work with a minimal amount of supervision.
- Must be able to exert 200 ft. lbs. torque in a push or pulling motion.
- Must be proficient in the use of all mold handling equipment.
- Must supply own hand tools sufficient for mold set-up (tool list supplies).
- High School education or equivalent.
- One (1) year of technical experience in mold set-up.
- Must have working knowledge of various thermoplastics.
- Prolonged periods of walking and standing.
- Must be able to lift up to 25lbs.
- Production plant that is moderately loud; ear protection encouraged but not required.
- Full benefit offerings including medical, dental, vision, and voluntary plans.
- $24-$26 an hour.
