Purpose:
The Supply Chain Scheduler assists in the week-to-week planning, organization and execution of the production schedule, optimizing resources and time. This role coordinates and expedites the flow of work and materials within a production facility according to the established schedule. They ensure timely availability of resources, communicate with various departments, and track production progress. Essentially, they maintain the smooth operation of the manufacturing process by managing schedules and facilitating communication.
Responsibilities:
Develop and manage production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and best utilize the company’s production and labor capacity
Use ERP and WMS to enter and manage open work orders, update paperwork and complete other changes needed.
Help establish a working sequence of each item on various production lines to maximize efficiency.
Prioritize schedule to ensure complete and on time shipments according to customer orders and target inventory levels
Establish and communicate production priorities
Monitor the production process, making routine production reports, and resolving any potential delays
Update the production schedule or picklists to include changes based on availability of raw materials and packaging.
Address any issues that arise during the production process and escalate anything necessary.
Communicate production paperwork to operations and the warehouse in a timely manner
Update and manage transfer documents for warehouse.
Update 3PL cut reports and communicate broadly with team regarding issues and readiness
Support, and comply with all quality management systems, continuous improvement programs, food safety, employee safety, preventative maintenance programs and legality

Education, Qualities and
Skills Required:
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Accuracy in scheduling, record-keeping, and reporting.
Identifying and resolving issues that may arise during production.
Intermediate Excel skills, including vlookups, pivot tables, macros and formulas
Familiarity with relevant software and systems for scheduling and data management.
2+ years of experience in food manufacturing environment.
A focused eye for details and an ability to prioritize as needed.
Self-directed, dependable and results oriented
Strong analytical skills - ability to analyze and interpret inventory and reporting data.
Above average written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interface with all levels of internal and external personnel.
Knowledge of Sage X3 ERP or similar application is a plus.
Experience using metrics to perform analyses
Must have a sense of urgency in regards to deadlines and resolving issues.
Supervisory Responsibility:
No direct supervision required.
Work Environment:
Typical office working environment which includes a workstation equipped with a computer and other office supplies necessary for daily tasks. Typically climate-controlled to provide a comfortable working temperature year-round. Lighting is usually a mix of natural and artificial sources to ensure sufficient lamination.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time hourly position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday. Expectations of 40 hours per week, to be worked during normal business hours starting no later than 8am central. Some overtime as required. This is an in-office position.

Occasionally lifting and carrying light objects, typically up to 20 pounds, such as files, documents, or office supplies.
Reaching and Bending:
Reaching above shoulder height and bending to access files and office supplies.
Hearing:
Adequate hearing ability to participate in meetings and teleconferences.

Compensation and Benefits:
The budgeted salary range for this position is $25-$30, with a 5% annual bonus potential.
