OPERATIONS MANAGER

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Operations Manager oversees production operations within the plant. He/she will coordinate the activities of the production, shipping/receiving, maintenance, and quality departments in processing materials and manufacturing products to ensure that optimal levels of quality, safety and productivity are met.

Position Responsibilities
  • Provides leadership & performs essential management tasks. This is a hands‑on management position that supports, coaches, directs and oversees all daily operations of the plant production, ensuring policies and procedures are followed.
  • Reviews factory orders to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operations.
  • Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
  • Prepares production and personnel schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets customer specifications.
  • Reviews production and operating data and resolves operational and manufacturing problems to ensure minimum costs and highest possible quality, and to prevent operational delays.
  • Monitors machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance, product quality, and optimum utilization.
  • Continually champions the Health and Safety of the team members.
Managerial / Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Directly supervises Manufacturing Supervisors, Maintenance Technicians, Quality Assurance Technicians, and Packaging Coordinators.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities, including: interviewing and providing input on the hiring and training of employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or other related field.
  • 10+ years of manufacturing experience
  • 5+ years of manufacturing management/operations leadership experience
  • Experience working within an ERP System – SAP Preferred.
Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Pregis’ total compensation package. The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $110-$140K + Bonus.
