Associate Pastor of Connections

Position Overview

At Calvary Baptist Church, we are creating a safe place where people can connect with God and with one another as we grow in Christ. We are seeking an Associate Pastor to help in three key areas: developing ministry teams, welcoming and assimilating newcomers, and leading congregational and personal worship.

• Assist all ministry teams in recruiting and training leaders, workers, and volunteers.
• Coordinate and actively participate in the worship experience, beginning with Sunday morning service, and lead the worship team, musicians, singers, and sound booth.
• Maintain effective communication among worship ministry participants.
• Enhance the pathway for first‑time guests to move from visiting to active, serving members through new‑believer care, baptism, membership, and lifelong discipleship.

• Strong personal relationship with Jesus and a clear calling to serve Him.
• Proven character exemplifying 1 Timothy and Titus 1 qualities; a man of prayer.
• Pastor’s heart and gentle manner with people.
• 5‑7 years of relevant pastoral or ministry experience and at least a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical studies or a related field.
• Strong commitment to music and worship; passion for biblical teaching and preaching.
• Adventurous spirit, fun‑loving disposition, and willingness to share time with church leaders.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, time‑management, delegation, and communication abilities.
• Ability to submit to Calvary’s vision, leadership and help realize the church’s mission.

Salary will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and individual needs. Benefits include health coverage, vacation, and ministry expenses.
