Maintenance Technician – Elko

Pay Rate: Starting $16.00 - $18.00 per hour. Full Time. Days/Swing Shift.

Housing options: Available after 90 days.

A Maintenance Technician has to perform various tasks like general, preventive, and emergency maintenance of the hotel. Generally, hotel maintenance is done in restaurants, front desk, rooms, parking, lobbies, casino, restrooms and elevators of a hotel.

• Basic preventative maintenance.
• Respond to guest calls and work orders.
• Log and follow-up on work orders and complete paperwork.
• Repair any equipment that breaks down or needs replacement.
• Troubleshoot problems.
• Maintain a safe work environment for self, co‑workers and guests.
• Lifting and carrying is required daily. The distance and height depends on the job duty.
• Possess or quickly learn safety, PPE, hotel locks, drains, sanders, pool equipment, room PM, general plumbing, general electrical, scissor lift.
• Intermediate plumbing, intermediate electrical, garbage compactor, boilers, chiller, cooling tower experience.
• Skills plus backup generator, snow plow, 4‑wheeler, sweeper, forklift, backhoe, carpentry, mechanic.
• Skills plus HVAC certified, advanced electrical, advanced plumbing.
• Follow cleaning schedules and procedures to meet high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
• Collect, transport, and properly store or dispose of trash, soiled linens, and biohazard waste per policy.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in good condition.
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisor.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and guidelines at all times.
• Performs related and/or other duties as required.

• Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
• Knowledge in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, refrigeration, heating, air‑conditioning, exhaust fans, cooling towers, chillers and boilers.
• Ability to repair equipment in hotel, kitchen and laundry areas, maintain swimming pools to meet health code and general landscaping.
• Operate power tools and equipment following proper safety requirements.
• Good writing, communication and customer relations skills.
• Polite and courteous customer service when interacting with guests.
