Overview
Manufacturing Supervisor – 3rd Shift
Location:
Elyria, OH. The Manufacturing Supervisor leads and supervises the operations for hourly employees and drives continuous improvements in safety, quality, on-time delivery, productivity, and employee engagement using Stanley Production System tools and leadership skills.
- Oversee the daily workflow and assignments related to the assigned production shift to meet plant production objectives and customer needs.
- Assist with hiring and training new and transferred employees on their duties and responsibilities; cross-train the workforce as necessary.
- Mentor, coach, and engage teams; provide constructive and timely performance feedback. Build team leaders and team member capabilities.
- Ensure standardized work processes and rotation schedules are adhered to according to company policies and business needs. Conduct routine rounds to ensure production standards are met and record production numbers on the hourly board.
- Ensure all company policies, procedures, plant standards, and safety rules are consistently followed; take necessary actions to correct violations.
- Provide feedback on work performance, safety, housekeeping, quality, accuracy, punctuality, job knowledge, and teamwork to direct reports.
- Address potentially difficult or complex employee relations issues with necessary stakeholders (e.g., HR, Management, Union representatives).
- Utilize the Tiered Meeting process to track and analyze key operational metrics and implement actions to improve performance and support Gemba Walks.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience.
- 3+ years’ experience as a manufacturing supervisor.
- Ability to work daily and weekend overtime to support production.
- Proven ability to develop teams, manage direct reports, and empower individuals.
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and timekeeping programs.

The salary range for this position is $70,900.00 - $. This range may vary based on location, job level, experience, and other factors in accordance with local wage requirements. Salary is one component of total rewards including additional benefits described above.
