Skills Needed: American Trained Paramedics:
Completion of two years accredited Associate's Degree or Diploma for a paramedic training program from a USA technical school, college, or university. Transcripts for such Associate's Degree or Diploma are required, and
Minimum of three (3) years current full-time experience working as a Nationally Registered Paramedic (NREMT/P), or
Five (5) years of experience working as State Licensed Paramedic.
Must be Registered Paramedic with Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) certifications.
Must have a Current/Active Paramedic License.

Canadian Trained Paramedics:
Graduate of Advanced Care Paramedic Program (ACP)
Three (3) years of experience as Paramedic
Must be Registered Paramedic with Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) certifications.
Must have a Current/Active Paramedic License.

Supervises junior and new staff and participates in orientation and development programs.
Takes charge of the unit in the absence of the person responsible as required or requested
Undertakes the role of the primary care provider specific to a defined patient group.
Participates in the on-going training and development program of the department/unit.
Takes responsibility for his/her own professional conduct and growth.
Acts in accordance with all agreed Hospital and departmental policies and procedures at all times.
Protects patient's confidentiality in accordance with the hospital policy.
Performs a variety of supportive and technical nursing skills and utilizes a range of equipment, supplies, medication and other modalities in carrying out specific medical orders for administration of medications and performance of specific treatments, monitoring techniques and other diagnostic, therapeutic and supportive measures. Uses equipment in a safe and effective manner.
Behaves in a professional manner at all times.

For a Consultant (attending) position, three years of experience after post qualification degree (i.e. Board Certification (US), CCST/CCT/MRCOG (UK & Ireland) and must be on the subspecialty list, FRCP (Canada), Facharzt (Germany), DIS/DES and member of Order de Medicine (France), Italy, Greece Fellowship from New Zealand/Australia or equivalent from the rest of Western Europe.
