Log Yard Heavy Equipment Operator

• Follow safety and work procedures
• Load and unload materials in a safe and efficient manner using heavy machinery
• Infeed – using the 988k Caterpillar to unload log trucks and stage material on the infeed deck or storage area
• Outfeed – using the Liebherr & High Lift to unload logs from a variety of sorted bins into their corresponding inventory location
• Assisting in loading the saw line infeed if production deems necessary
• Clean industrial equipment and workstations
• Perform daily inspections of heavy equipment and complete required forms
• General maintenance of equipment
• Other duties as assigned

• Must be dependable and show ability to take direction
• Able to work flexible schedules and long hours
• Minimal skills required, but must be able to learn general manufacturing duties
• Ability to work outdoors in all temperatures, in loud, high-volume environment
• Perform essential functions of job that includes walking, standing, climbing stairs, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds

• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time; may sit, stand, push/pull, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, or crawl occasionally
• Frequent lifting/moving of items that may range in weight up to 50 pounds
• Regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts
• Exposed to hot, cold, wet or humid conditions
